The Challenge
1. NetSuite Integration
- Order Sync Issues: Incomplete mapping led to broken fulfillment and backorder tracking.
- Backorder Logic needed to reflect Shopify and NetSuite statuses seamlessly.
- Tax Calculation Gaps: Transition from Vertex to Avalara introduced timing issues.
2. B2B & Account Structure
- Manual Approval for professional (B2B) accounts was required, slowing onboarding.
- Distributors needed unique pricing rules, regional logic, and catalog control.
- Catalog Restrictions for students and unlicensed professionals were not in place.
- Trade Show Ordering was manual due to POS device delays and lack of B2B support.
